Welcome

Thank you for joining us to celebrate the students of the EPIC Innovation Challenge. Over the past six weeks, 52 students across 13 employer-partner teams have tackled real-world business and technology challenges — and today they share what they built. The day runs in two parts: a main-stage showcase featuring standout teams, followed by an open Project Expo where every team demonstrates their work one-on-one. We’re glad you’re here to see it.

Format at a Glance

Part 1 — Main Stage: Six standout teams give short stage presentations to the full audience.

Part 2 — Project Expo: All 13 teams staff tables simultaneously while guests, employers, and circulate for live demos.

Closing Program: Recognition, certificates, and a group photo bring everyone back together to wrap the day.

Welcome Reception

9:30 AM   Doors Open & Welcome Reception

Check-in and networking.

Part 1 — Main-Stage Presentations

10:00 AM   Opening & Welcome

Welcome and introduction of campus leadership; overview of Miami Tech Works and the EPIC Innovation Challenge; format and housekeeping.

10:15 AM   Stage Presentations — Six Teams

Six selected teams present from the stage, ~15 minutes each (presentation plus Q&A).

11:00 AM   Stretch Break

A short reset between presentation blocks.

11:10 AM   Stage Presentations Continue

Remaining stage teams present.

11:55 AM   Stage Wrap & Transition to Expo

Teams move to their assigned tables; guests invited to grab lunch and begin circulating.

Part 2 — Project Expo (Tabling)

12:10 PM   Open Expo — All 13 Tables Live

Every team staffs a table for live demos and one-on-one conversation. Lunch is available throughout, so the floor stays active. Guests are encouraged to visit every table.

Final opportunity to visit tables before wind-down.
