xFigura Review: From reference images to an editable 3D model, in ~10 min
Release Roundup · 3D Builder in the browser, the Rhino plugin powered by Astra, and Rhino segmentation in the image editor.
60 minutes with David Gull, Founding GTM Lead, and Aimee Wolf, Applied Technology Specialist. Friday 30 October, 1:30 to 2:30 PM EDT. Online, free, open to anyone.
Three new tools, shown on real work rather than slides.
3D Builder, in the canvas. Give it a few reference images of a building and it generates a detailed, editable 3D model. Then you capture a view, annotate what you want changed, and it makes the change. A base run takes about 10 minutes, on the canvas where your work is already being done.
The Rhino plugin, powered by Astra, if you already model. The same engine, inside the tool you are in.
Rhino segmentation, in the image editor. Smart selection by object on an image, so you don't have to draw the boundaries yourself.
What we are covering
Reference images to a finished model, start to finish
Annotating a view to guide the next edit
What it doesn't do yet, said plainly
The Rhino plugin, powered by Astra
Rhino segmentation in the image editor, selecting by object
...and any questions you have!
Who this is for
Anyone who wants a 3D model and does not want to build it by hand, and anyone already modeling in Rhino.
