Eco-Book Group: You Are A Sacred Place

​This will be a special session of Eco-Book Group in collaboration with the Michigan Climate Action Network (MiCAN). In this virtual session, we will be joined by author Madeleine Jubilee Saito, a cartoonist living on Duwamish land in Seattle, Washington who works at the intersection of art, activism, and climate justice.

​During this session, Madeleine will present excerpts of her book You Are a Sacred Place: Visual Poems for Living in Climate Crisis, discuss themes of climate, justice, activism, and art-making, and field questions from the group.

​Pre-reading You Are a Sacred Place is encouraged but not required to attend this virtual gathering. This free event is open to anyone who resonates with these themes. Expect a reflective space, in line with the look and feel of the book.
