Eco-Book Group: You Are A Sacred Place
This will be a special session of Eco-Book Group in collaboration with the Michigan Climate Action Network (MiCAN). In this virtual session, we will be joined by author Madeleine Jubilee Saito, a cartoonist living on Duwamish land in Seattle, Washington who works at the intersection of art, activism, and climate justice.
During this session, Madeleine will present excerpts of her book You Are a Sacred Place: Visual Poems for Living in Climate Crisis, discuss themes of climate, justice, activism, and art-making, and field questions from the group.
Pre-reading You Are a Sacred Place is encouraged but not required to attend this virtual gathering. This free event is open to anyone who resonates with these themes. Expect a reflective space, in line with the look and feel of the book.
