AI has changed what it means to study. It can help you learn faster, and it can quietly undermine the very skills your degree is meant to build. Knowing the difference, and knowing where the lines sit on academic integrity, is now one of the most important things a new student can learn.
Join CREED Aberdeen and Limitless for an evening built for new undergraduate and postgraduate students: part welcome, part practical guidance, and a chance to find your community early.
What to expect
Lecturers on studying in the age of AI: how to use it well, where it crosses into plagiarism, and what academic integrity actually looks like in practice.
First-class and distinction graduates on what they would do differently, and what genuinely made the difference.
A fireside chat on entrepreneurship with Oluwaseun Olabode and Nathan Ikani, on building something alongside or beyond your studies.
A short talk from Kimberley of Passport Beyond Borders.
Speed networking at small tables grouped by faculty and interest, so you leave knowing people on your own course.
A chance to sign up for small groups and mentoring for the year ahead.
Who it's for
New undergraduates and postgraduates at the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University, including international students settling in. Refreshments provided.
