BYOB - Bring Your Own Book Party
You’re invited to join Books Light the Fire for a cozy afternoon of meaningful connection, reading, and coloring in Central Park.
Bring the book that’s speaking to you right now—or a magazine you’ve been wanting to slow down with. This is your space to enjoy reading alongside community.
Here’s how it works:
We’ll begin with a quick 10-minute welcome, introductions, and a light icebreaker to set the tone and help everyone ease in.
Then we’ll settle into 40+ minutes of uninterrupted reading time—just you, your book (or magazine), and the park. No pressure to socialize. Just space to slow down and be present with what you’re reading.
After reading, we’ll come together for 10 minutes of creative coloring and conversation—a playful, grounding moment to reconnect with your inner child and also meet other women.
Why you’ll love it:
A cozy, low-pressure space to slow down, read, color, and connect with other women in a way that feels natural and grounding.
Because sometimes meaningful community looks like quiet conversations, shared creativity, and simply being together.
What to bring:
A book, magazine, or reading material you’re currently enjoying
A blanket or towel to sit on
Water/snacks if desired
Coloring supplies will be provided.
