About Event

Join us for a book talk and discussion centered on Spotted on the Road, a children's book about salamander migration written and illustrated by Trisha Bhujle (Cornell '26). Trisha is a Migrations scholar studying environment and sustainability in Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, with interests in wildlife conservation, climate change, and food systems. Trisha is also a regular at Durland Alternatives Library.

Also joining us will be Stephen Bredin from Tompkins County Amphibian Patrol (TCAMP), Nat Smith from Mutual Aid Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (MAWR) and Laura Rowley from Illuminated Press, who helped bring Trisha's book to life. We will invite Stephen, Nat & Laura to tell us about their organizations and we will have a Q&A and snacks* with the group. Button-making too, with illustrations from Trisha's book! This event is free but registration is requested so we can get a sense of numbers for snacks & supplies.

Donations will be accepted and there will be an opportunity to buy copies of Trisha's book.
