​New York has become a focal point of AI discussion. Major AI firms like Anthropic are expanding their New York City footprint. Meanwhile, legislation like the RAISE Act and a recently signed executive order placing a moratorium on hyperscale data centers have put the state at the center of conversations around the rise of this technology and the safety and security concerns surrounding it.
