STOP GUESSING WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WANT

A 40-minute hands-on workshop on finding the revenue hiding in your ecommerce experience

Your customers are already showing you what they want: what they click, ignore, search for, where they hesitate, and how they browse your products.

The question is whether you're using that behavior to decide what to change.

Join Mia Umanos, founder of Clickvoyant, for a practical workshop designed for Dream Ventures consumer founders on using customer behavior to make better merchandising decisions and turn those insights into A/B tests.

I'll also show founders some of the simplest A/B testing tools on the market and how to get started without an enterprise software budget. Depending on the platform, you can begin testing for as little as about $99/month.

Small changes can matter a lot. We've seen it across brands including Max & Lily, Unique Vintage, Branded Bills, Randolph Eyewear and Ranger Eyewear.

A few examples:

  • Max & Lily: reorganizing the homepage around the way customers actually shopped increased revenue per visitor 31.2% and purchase conversion 25.3%.

  • Unique Vintage: giving mobile shoppers a simpler way to browse by price increased purchase conversion 79%.

  • Branded Bills: merchandising around customer identity increased revenue per session 22%, conversion 9%, and average order value 8%.

  • In another ecommerce test, one seven-day experiment generated approximately $55,600 in incremental revenue.

These weren't complete redesigns. They were changes to how products were organized, explained, surfaced and discovered.

How much revenue could you be leaving on the table?

If your ecommerce business generates $50,000 a month online, improving revenue efficiency by:

  • 10% = $5,000 more per month

  • 20% = $10,000 more per month

  • 30% = $15,000 more per month

That's roughly $60,000 to $180,000 of annual revenue opportunity at the same level of traffic.

Results will depend on traffic, conversion rate, assortment and economics. Every test won't produce a giant lift. But if you're doing $50,000 a month, even a modest improvement matters.

In the workshop, founders will learn how to:

  • read merchandising behavior to understand how customers actually shop

  • find friction and opportunity in existing ecommerce data

  • identify which observations are worth acting on

  • turn an observation into a clear hypothesis

  • design a simple A/B test that can prove or disprove it

  • choose an accessible testing tool and get a first test running

  • prioritize what to test when they don't have unlimited traffic, time or money

Framework: Data → Observation → Hypothesis → Test → Outcome

Bring your store. Leave with your next test.
