Autumn Writers Retreat with Douglas Rushkoff and David Rock.
Have a big idea, but can't seem to focus enough to get it moving? Research shows that focusing together helps everyone focus even more.
Now imagine focusing deep in nature, surrounded by inspiring people all working on big things, eating healthy chef-cooked food, and having energizing evening conversations by a roaring fireplace to help you develop your ideas.
This intensive writing journey is for people wanting to focus deeply on any kind of writing project, whether that's a book, a screenplay, digital content, or otherwise. While there's a focus on book writing, the skills and focus will be relevant to any creative project.
Led by two seasoned authors, the five days involve daily quiet focus on your own projects, with evenings together to brainstorm, share ideas and learn from each other, with some engaging conversations facilitated by the two hosts. All in an inspiring nature setting and unique architect-designed dome-home and big property next door. With the use of two Jacuzzis, a sauna, a four-person hyperbaric chamber, 30 acres of private walking trails and more.
You'll arrive on the first day and settle in over a welcome dinner together that evening, with the focused days beginning the morning after.
The goal is to help everyone - at all levels of experience - get a lot of focused writing time, while also improving and expanding their approach to the craft. Conversations will focus on the motivations, creative processes and even the neuroscience involved in great writing.
