Compost Capitalism: Carrying in Community
In this meeting we will come together to explore what we individually were made to carry.
So many of us, myself included, feel we must hold everything—the grief, the fear, the responsibility, the hope—on our own. But human beings were never meant to carry everything by ourselves. Each of us is made to carry only a small, meaningful part, woven into a much larger web of people, places, histories, and beings who hold the rest.
Together we will participate in an activity to help us recognize our gifts/strengths to discover what is really ours to carry. We will create art inspired by what each of us was made to carry to create a communal piece that serves as a visual representation of what we can carry together as a community.
