The Full-Sensory Reset: Why Your Body Needs the Forest
Join us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at George L. Garrett Jr. Park for Forest Bathing a (sensory reset), followed by a guided meditation through a grove of Blue Gum trees and a phone-free (airplane mode is okay) silent journey.
Stay after for hot tea refreshments and reflection at OmOrenda.space (2 min walk from the park).
Forest bathing or shinrin-yoku (Japanese), is the process of allowing the forest to transform you from the outside in. The phrase literally translates to “forest wellbeing”. There is a growing body of scientific evidence to support that prolonged time in nature helps with sleep and restoring circadian rhythm. In addition to the impact on sleep, forest bathing can help with fighting infections and other wellness impacts.
