Beacon Fire Tower & Fishkill Farms

​Join us on a fall foliage adventure to Beacon! We'll start with a hike up to Beacon Fire Tower and end with a casual farm fresh lunch at the neighboring Fishkill Farms (known for their cider!)

​​​​​@girlsgonehikingnyc is a city girl's hike club designed to build sisterhood on the trail by organizing slow-paced day hikes accessible by public transit from NYC.

​South Beacon Mountain via Casino Trail

​Difficulty: Hard

​Distance: 3.8 Miles

​Elevation Gain: 1,384 ft

​Route Type: Out and Back

​Day of Itinerary (confirmed):

• ​7:45am: Meet @ Grand Central Terminal to check-in & catch the 8:08am Metro North train (if you miss the train, we will not be able to wait for you - please do not be late!)

• ​9:46am: Arrive at Beacon Station and walk to the trailhead

• ​12:30pm: Afterwards, feel free to grab a bite to eat at the picturesque Fishkill Farms (20min Uber away) or explore Beacon

• ​3:43pm: Catch the train back to Grand Central (there’s typically one every 60 min if you want to head back earlier/later)

​What to bring: 1-2 L water, snacks, comfortable hiking shoes, & a hat or SPF!

​We’ll bring: bug spray & trail snacks :)
