About Event

Souleymane Bachir Diagne (Columbia University) joins Doyle D. Calhoun (University of Cambridge) for a dialogue on Diagne’s latest work, De langue à langue (Albin Michel), and its recent English translation, From Language to Language (Other Press). In this deeply humanist, and often personal, meditation, Diagne explores translation as both a philosophical act and an ethical encounter—a means of giving hospitality from one language to another, of imagining a shared humanity across difference.

A drinks reception will follow.
