​Ambrook builds financial software for the independent, family-run businesses that most of tech has overlooked — farms, ranches, trucking and construction operations. It now serves more than 8,000 businesses across all 50 states and raised a $30M Series B this past August. Before Ambrook, Mackenzie worked in government and policy, studied climate security at Stanford, and founded an open-source infrastructure startup that was acquired by CoreOS.

​We’ll talk with her about building for the real economy, what she learned driving out to farms, and why she describes her work as American dynamism meeting the American dream.
