About Event

Join us (Online or In-Person) for an AI hackathon kickoff designed for non-technical creators, students, operators, marketers, founders, and anyone curious about building with AI.

This is not a high-pressure coding competition. It is a lightweight, practical build sprint to help you turn an idea into an AI-native web app, tool, or demo you can share in your portfolio, resume, or online presence.

We'll kick things off in person with pizza, a hands-on workshop, team formation, and live demos from Novita and Kilo Code. Then the hackathon continues online for one week, giving you time to build, polish, and submit your project.

You'll learn how to set up Novita APIs and models, use Kilo Code to build faster, and follow a clear workflow from idea to working demo. Come solo or with a team. Beginners are very welcome.

The Challenge

Build a website that showcases your work. If you're a founder, that might be a pitch deck for your startup or product idea. If you're not, it could be your resume or a portfolio of what you do. Either way, the goal is the same: a site that makes someone want to reach out to you.

Pick whatever version fits you, then make it the best representation of your work you can build in a week.

How We're Judging

We're looking at three things:

  • Aesthetics: how it looks and feels

  • Creativity: the originality of your concept and how you executed it

  • Execution: how well the final site matches what you set out to do and the work you're trying to showcase

The real test is simple. After we see your site, do we want to learn more about your startup, your portfolio, or you? Make us want to reach out.

What to Expect

  • Practical walkthrough of Novita API and model setup

  • Example AI app ideas you can build from

  • Hands-on session from Kilo Code on AI-powered coding workflows

  • Building tips, technical guidance, Q&A

  • Time to meet other builders, creators, and collaborators

Event Schedule

6:00 PM: Doors open + pizza
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Workshop + team formation
8:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Hacking, networking

Online Hackathon Timeline

Project submissions are due by 11:59 PM PT on July 7. Results will be announced during a livestream on July 10. Prizes await!

Submission Requirements

Submit a working demo, a short project description, and a repo or build link. Your project should use Novita and/or Kilo Code in a real workflow, and it should be a website that showcases your work, whether that's a startup pitch, a portfolio, or a resume.

Bring your laptop, your curiosity, and one idea you'd be excited to make real. Huge shoutout to PostHog for hosting the event!
