Kiss Me Goodnight: Poetry Reading, Book Signing & Discussion
METAL & DVST is an independent art space curated by award-winning multidisciplinary artist Kelly Korzun. Born in the hometown of Marc Chagall, a prominent French-Russian artist within the so-called École de Paris, Kelly grew up deeply influenced by his poetic and figurative style. After getting formal training in fine arts as a junior, she continued to explore other creative disciplines such as digital design, art direction, photography, editorial production, creative writing, and everything in between.
In 2014, she launched METAL & DVST, a personal collection of original in-depth interviews with the industry’s top emerging and established artists, including Karim Rashid, Stefan Sagmeister, Esteban Diacono, Joe Perez, Saad Moosajee, Fabien Montique, Jean Jullien, Sara Blake, and others. Spanning across multiple industries, Kelly’s work has been featured in Forbes, Apple iTunes Rewind, Art On Link (NYC), The Artruist, Al-Tiba9, Tidal Magazine, Creative Boom, The Overview, and The Creative Condition book. To this day, METAL & DVST remains the only independent one-person platform that features top global talent and examines a wide range of creative disciplines, including design, technology, music, and culture.
Marcela Avelar is a Mexican-born multidisciplinary artist based in New York City. Marcela's art lives at the intersection of art, music, and experience. Being passionate about intertwined mediums, her art ranges from drawings, paintings, rugs, ceramics to poetry and performance. In 2025, she launched her poetry book Kiss Me Goodnight: A Tale About Depression, Melancholy, Joy & Other Drugs. The book is divided into three chapters: Darkness, Gray Area, and Light. Kiss Me Goodnight takes readers through the personal journey of healing, from Darkness to Light, not as a destination but a constant battle to gravity.
Earlier this year, Marcela got featured on METAL & DVST as a part of THE CITY series. This live conversation format aims at facilitating an open discussion around the subject matter and creating a safe space for participation.
