Alternative Currencies Meetup

​An important note before tonight’s gathering — this is an intimate gathering for people genuinely interested in alternative currencies, new monetary systems and Circles.

Bitcoin promised to be a new censorship resistant form of money, but it turned out to be a store of value rather than a medium of exchange. For fiat currencies, the privilege and value derived from issuing money is concentrated in the hands of a few.

We aim to change that with Circles. We’re hosting a meetup in Cannes during EthCC for those working on, and those interested in learning more about newer forms of money that are fairer.

All attendees will get a chance to be one of the early ones to be onboarded to Circles, a new fairer form of money launched on 21st May 2025.

Our co-founder Martin Koppelmann will also be joining us come meet him in person and continue the conversation.
