Women In Product - Event 2
The first WIP London meet was 8 women in a bar, and 2+ hours of the kind of honest conversation you don't usually get at work. This time we're going a bit bigger with 30 spaces and two speakers, and keeping the intimate, no-panels, no-pitches, no-networking-bingo energy that worked.
What to expect:
Structured intros so everyone gets airtime
Two 20-min learn sessions from speakers who actually have something to share
Roundtable discussion in between
Drinks and snacks on us, plus space to stay-and-mingle after
The speakers:
Obii Okafor, Senior Product Manager at 8x8 and CEO and co-founder of PMhelp. Her talk: Beyond Doing Great Work: Building a Career That Gets Noticed. A practical session on visibility, networking, and creating opportunities without feeling like you have to become an influencer.
Rakiya Suleiman, Product at Sokin and Vice President of the BPM Product Community (Europe), also part of ForbesBLK. She's living the same thing WIP London is about, running product and building community at the same time. Talk topic coming soon.
Come with:
One thing you're working on or stuck on right now. That's what we'll go round on in intros, and it's usually where the most useful peer help comes from.
Who this is for:
Women and non-binary people working in product. All career stages welcome, product-adjacent roles (design, ops, marketing, research) too.
In collaboration with:
