About Event

How do we make sense of government announcements? Is my voice heard when I give feedback on policies?

How may we better understand the structures and dynamics of large organisations (such as the Government) in order to better emphathise, navigate and partner with them?

How do we constructively advocate for things we believe in and feel passionate about? How do we move forward together?

In short: Can we learn to play the "kita"? ("kita" is Malay for "us")

Come join us for a 2-hour facilitated discussion with our guest speaker, David Thian, Deputy CEO, Quantedge Foundation.

About the Guest Facilitator

David Thian has spent time in the people, private and public sectors. His career has spanned strategy, policy, community engagement, transformation and organisation development. He started his working life as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, before helping to start Conjunct Consulting, one of Singapore’s first nonprofit consultancies. He has spent the last 14 years in the public sector, including the Ministry of Finance, National Youth Council, Public Service Division and People’s Association. He is currently at Quantedge Foundation Singapore on secondment, helping to build bridges between philanthropists, the Government and the social sector.

Lewis Liu has over a decade of experience spanning the public, private, and non-profit sectors. He specializes in helping organizations engage stakeholders, identify emerging trends, and develop long-term strategies.

He spent half his career in the Public Service (PMO, MCCY), working on futures thinking and citizen engagement projects. At Grab, he worked closely with policymakers and regulators to improve the lives and livelihoods of gig workers, consumers and businesses.

Today, he leads Crowdsense, a consultancy dedicated to bringing diverse stakeholders together to work toward shared goals. He is also an Executive Education Fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS.
