About Event

As climate disruption intensifies, digital technologies that drive development progress, are increasingly vulnerable to climate shocks. A new report from the Vodafone Foundation and Devex explores how digital development can adapt to a +1.5°C world, focusing on health, education, and disaster resilience.

This panel session brings together leaders from GSMA, UNHCR, Humanity Insured, and Vodafone Foundation to discuss:

  • How climate shocks are impacting digital tools and humanitarian programmes

  • Innovations in early warning systems, disaster response, and climate insurance

  • What must change in design, deployment, and partnerships to build resilience

Based on insights from 1,130 development professionals, the session will share practical strategies and explore how digital solutions can remain inclusive, effective, and locally owned — even in a rapidly changing climate.

Don’t miss this urgent conversation on the future of tech and climate resilience.
