About Event

Across Southeast Asia, languages and cultures describe the essence of life and place in subtly different ways:

  • Bahasa Indonesia & Bahasa Melayu: jiwa — soul, essence

  • Tagalog: diwa — spirit, consciousness

  • Thai: diwa/tiwa — daylight

Together, these terms evoke the spirit of Southeast Asia’s megadiversity and interconnectedness, emphasizing that regeneration is both ecological and cultural—a living, mindful approach to thriving futures.

Join us for Diwa / Jiwa: Nurturing the Spirit of Bioregional Regeneration in South East Asia: an interactive webinar for the Bangkok Climate Action Week and the COP30 Mutirao

Together with our co-hosts and partners, we will be exploring the experience of bioregional regeneration in South East Asia and ways citizens can power actions for climate resilience by responding to the call of a Global Mutirao for COP30 in this 2 - part event.
