Woven from the Wild: A Foraged Branch Basket Workshop
Let nature be your guide as we turn simple branches and wild fibres into something both useful and beautiful.
In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to shape a small basket around a natural branch frame, weaving with foraged and locally gathered materials. Each piece comes out a little different — guided by the curves of the wood, your hands, and the slow rhythm of weaving.
No tools or experience are needed. If you can wrap, bend, and weave, you can make this basket.
This class is a gentle way to stay connected to the land during the colder months — a chance to work with natural materials, warm your hands, and enjoy a few quiet hours of making in good company.
All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with your own rustic woven basket to hang or display, perfect for holding dried flowers or small seasonal treasures.
Class takes place in Antler Lake, about 15 minutes east of Sherwood Park — an easy drive to a quiet, welcoming rural setting surrounded by trees and fresh air.
Come slow down, learn a new skill, and make something from the wild.
