WHAT WE CARRY (Session 2): Emotionally Immature Parents
What happens when we grow up learning to prioritize our parents’ emotions, needs, or expectations over our own?
In this session, we’ll explore how growing up with emotionally immature parents, enmeshment, and weaponized cultural expectations (i.e. filial piety) shapes how we relate with ourselves and others.
Together, we’ll reflect on complicated parent-child relationships while making space for grief, compassion, and our own needs.
