The Platform Table // LDN.1

​A dinner hosted by David Soria Parra, with Peter Alexander and Paul Carleton, engineers from Anthropic's Platform Engineering, Safeguards and Research teams.

​David co-created MCP. It was written on this team and handed to the industry, competitors included, and the work around it is still being invented: the proxy that routes every tool call, the connectors, the tunnels, the auth model underneath all of it.

​Peter and Paul work either side of that layer. Same problem from three angles: what the model can do, what reaches it, and what it's allowed to do once it's there.

​Models improve faster than companies can use them. Most of that gap is a connection problem. That's what we want to talk about, with a table of platform and infrastructure engineers in London.
