Stop F*cking With Us Craft Night @ Love City
If you, like we, are deeply disturbed by the removal of the slavery memorial at Independence Hall and the attempt to erase history all across the country, please join us in recreating the plaques that were taken down.
📅 Tuesday, February 3rd from 6-9PM, we are hosting a “craft event” at Love City Brewing to keep democracy alive. We'll be replicating the plaques that were removed from Independence Hall last Thursday in a variety of forms — posters, handouts, signage, etc.
🧠 We will also be brainstorming ideas for how we can keep this history known and accessible to all. If you have any ideas for things we can make on this night, please email us here: hello@goodthingsphl.com, so we can get the supplies ahead of time.
🫂 Even if you can’t contribute artistically, please come be in community — get to know people in your city that care about this, that care about other people, and are with you in this fight.
🧢 The venue has a capacity, so you must RSVP to guarantee entry and participation. If you rsvp and later realize that you can’t make it, please change your rsvp to “not going” so we can open up the spot for someone else.
💸 There is a non-refundable $5-15 pay-what-you-can RSVP fee to help us pay for supplies. If you cannot afford the fee, please email us at hello@goodthingsphl.com.
🍺 If you can, please buy at least one food item or beverage to support Love City for hosting us.
This administration's actions have gone unchallenged for far too long, and sitting at home saying "I can’t believe this is happening" while we share these atrocities to our Instagram story and wait for the other party to do anything to stop them is just not an option anymore. We cannot rely on someone else to come save us any longer — we have an opportunity to fight back now. It terrifies me to think about what the future holds if we don't. So we are really, really urging you to please prioritize this.
