About Event

โ€‹Build AI apps where privacy is infrastructure, not a pinky promise.

โ€‹Join Krava and Linq in San Francisco for a focused builder hackathon with cash prizes.

โ€‹Most AI apps are useful. Too many also become surveillance products on the side.

โ€‹This hackathon is about building something better: AI applications where privacy is not a vague promise, but part of the architecture.

โ€‹Schedule SATURDAY, MAY 30th

โ€‹11:00 โ€“ 12:00 PMย | Check-In & Team Formation Doors open early! Grab drinks, find your team, and get a head start on setup with help from our team on the ground.

โ€‹๐Ÿ•ย Free food! Snacks, Dinner, Drinks, and Prizes are on us

โ€‹12:00 PM | Hackathon officially starts!

โ€‹12:00 - 1:15 PM | Welcome presentation, rules, timeline ๐Ÿ“…

โ€‹6:30 PM | Project Submissions Close ๐Ÿ

โ€‹6:40 PM | Demo Time ๐ŸŽค

  • โ€‹Each team gets a 5-minute demo slot

โ€‹Winners are announced 15 minutes after the last demo!

โ€‹Build the next generation of private AI apps

โ€‹Krava is privacy-as-a-service for LLM applications and agents. It helps developers build AI products that anonymize users from their API calls and run LLM interactions through privacy-preserving infrastructure.

โ€‹In other words:

โ€‹No pinky promises. Privacy should be built into the system.

โ€‹At this hackathon, youโ€™ll build real applications using the Krava SDK, with an optional grand-prize track for projects that also integrate with Linq, which lets users control AI agents and LLM experiences over iMessage.

โ€‹Examples:

  • โ€‹A private chatbot

  • โ€‹A private journaling assistant

  • โ€‹A private therapy-style assistant

  • โ€‹A private legal, finance, or health assistant

  • โ€‹A private research assistant

  • โ€‹A private personal agent

  • โ€‹A private iMessage-based AI assistant using Linq

  • โ€‹Any useful AI app that would be better if it were not also a surveillance app

โ€‹If the private version is good enough, that becomes the wedge into any existing market.

โ€‹What is Linq?

โ€‹Linq lets users control an AI agent or LLM experience over iMessage.

โ€‹For this hackathon, builders can combine:

  • โ€‹Kravaโ€™s privacy infrastructure

  • โ€‹Linqโ€™s iMessage-based AI control bridge

โ€‹Together, that opens up a new category of private, conversational AI apps that users can interact with directly from iMessage.

โ€‹Prize tracks

โ€‹Cash prizes will be awarded across the following tracks:

โ€‹๐Ÿ† Grand Prize: Best Krava Project ($500) For the best application built using the Krava SDK.

โ€‹๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Best Krava + Linq Integration ($250) For the best project that combines Krava privacy infrastructure with Linqโ€™s iMessage-based AI agent experience.

โ€‹โœจ Runner-Up / Best Overall Execution ($250) For a strong project with great functionality, creativity, user experience, or demo quality.

โ€‹Team size

โ€‹Teams may have 1โ€“4 people. Solo hackers are welcome. Teams are encouraged.

โ€‹What youโ€™ll build Teams should build a working AI application that uses Krava. The strongest submissions will be useful, demoable, and clear about how privacy improves the product. Projects should ideally be deployed web apps that judges can visit directly.

โ€‹Submission format:

  • โ€‹Deployed app URL

  • โ€‹Team name

  • โ€‹Participant names

  • โ€‹Short project description

  • โ€‹Track you are submitting to

  • โ€‹Explanation of how you used Krava

  • โ€‹Explanation of Linq integration, if applicable

  • โ€‹GitHub repo

โ€‹Judging criteria

โ€‹Projects will be judged on:

  • โ€‹Use of Krava

  • โ€‹Strength of the privacy-first concept

  • โ€‹Functionality and demo quality

  • โ€‹Creativity

  • โ€‹User experience

  • โ€‹Technical execution

  • โ€‹Linq integration quality, if applicable

โ€‹Judging will focus on the app and demo, not endless code review.

โ€‹Getting started

โ€‹Weโ€™ll share a hackathon-specific getting started page before the event with links to:

  • โ€‹Krava SDK docs

  • โ€‹Krava quickstart

  • โ€‹Lovable path

  • โ€‹Codex path

  • โ€‹Bring-your-own coding agent path
