About Event

Join us for a night exploring the future of longevity policy in Europe.

Hosted by Impact Hub Lisbon, Naveana, and LSE Generate x LSE Global School of Sustainability, this evening brings together policymakers, founders, healthcare leaders, researchers, and ecosystem builders to examine how Europe can prepare for longer lives.

Europe is ageing faster than any other continent. But longevity is not just a demographic trend — it is an economic, social, and entrepreneurial shift that will reshape healthcare systems, pension models, labour markets, and communities.

If we are living longer, how must our institutions evolve?
And what role does entrepreneurship play in building the longevity economy?

This event is designed as a space for serious conversation, cross-sector exchange, and meaningful connection.

What We’ll Cover

  • EU demographic ageing and macroeconomic impact

  • Life expectancy vs. healthy life expectancy

  • The future of healthcare and pension systems

  • Designing longevity-ready workplaces and communities

  • The rise of the European longevity economy

  • Innovation across prevention, work, and social infrastructure

Agenda

Ana Mendes Godinho will share a policy-level perspective on demographic ageing across the EU, the gap between lifespan and healthspan, and what this means for Europe’s healthcare and pension systems.

Panel 1: Designing Longevity-Ready Societies (40 min)
Joana Costa, Ana Gama, Afonso Carvalho, Ines Martins Rodrigues, Susana Schmitz
We’ll explore what it takes to design systems that truly support longer lives — from insurance and longevity medicine to philanthropy, social prescribing, and the future of work.

Networking and catering by Avó Cooking Lab.

Panel 2: Building the Longevity Economy (40 min)
55+, Silver Minds, Longevity Wednesdays, Sioslife, Avó Veio Trabalhar
