Do AIs Act On Their Emotions? β Caspar Kaiser
βπ§ Sentio
Sentio is building the digital minds field in London & beyond. We host the Sentio Series - fortnightly London events that combine a talk, Q&A, and networking. Talks explore empirical, governance and moral questions in areas such as AI consciousness, sentience, agency, and welfare. A home for those working on or interested in digital minds to gather regularly.
βποΈ Overview
Todayβs AIs sometimes talk as though they have feelings. But should we care about AI emotions?
βIn this talk, Caspar will show how modelsβ internal emotional states influence their choices and behaviour. He will discuss what this can tell us about whether things can go well or badly for today's AIs, and why these findings matter for safety.
Followed by Q&A and (in-person) networking, with vegan pizza and drinks included. Whether you work in digital minds, are considering it, or are curious from a related field like AI safety, come along!
