✨ "Spirit Tech" sector definition workshop
Hi all,
This week's gathering, we welcome Eddy, who is leading a committee to bring together the Spiritual Development Tech sector, or "Spirit Tech", and hope to elevate it to a similar level of societal importance and resource (funding, talent) as Climate Tech in the next 10 years.
The intention is to get community feedback (via couple of fun design exercises, such as card sorting) on some artifacts that we have been working on, such as a preliminary definition of the sector, a database of existing organizations, and categorizations.
If you are a builder and resource allocator in relevant areas and care about movement building/systems progress in this sector, this might be of special interest to you!
Who are we? We are a multidisciplinary group of experts and enthusiasts from neuroscience, Brain Computer Interface (BCI), Human Computer Interaction design (HCI), psychotherapy, arts, plant medicine, somatic healing, and other ancient wisdom practices interested in building a holistic Wellbeing Economy.
We gather to explore our shared concerns and curiosities about the impact of a new wave of emerging technologies on human well-being. We aim to channel technological powers to rebuild our connections to Self, Each other, and the Planet.
We advocate for systems change - positive futures where Technology and Capital systems support human and planetary flourishing. Not the other way around. Conscious tech means:
1. Technology that help expand individual and collective consciousness towards mindful love and compassion (e.g. mental health tech, tech for wisdom) and
2. Craft technology with mindful conscious intentions and processes (e.g. calm tech, ambient computing)
Our 4 pillars of action are:
1. Community Building
2. Translational Research
3. Movement Building
4. Product Incubation
