Photography Is… Preserving What Matters - From Lens to Self Festival 2026
We take photos because we know things change.
People grow and leave, places are transformed, relationships move through new stages and some moments happen only once.
Photography can become an act of recognition and care: choosing what we want to preserve. In this workshop, you will explore the relationship between photography, memory and meaning.
Through guided exercises, you will notice which people, places, objects or experiences matter to you and what makes a memory worth keeping. Your images will help you distinguish what you value from what takes up space out of habit. We will reflect on personal memory, family history, identity and meaningful places. Bring a smartphone or camera.
