About Event

Retail and technology are entering a new era and AI is becoming table stakes for how we work, lead, and make decisions. RWIT is committed to making sure women don’t get left behind, and more importantly, that women are sitting at the seats of every table where AI decisions are being made.

That’s why we’ve created the RWIT AI Advisory Council: a cross-functional group of leaders from retailers, brands, technology, consulting, and the broader ecosystem who will help RWIT accelerate AI literacy, fluency, and practical adoption across our community.

AI isn’t just a “tech job.” It impacts merchandising, supply chain, stores, customer experience, marketing, finance, people teams—everything. But many women have told us they feel hesitant to engage with AI, not because they aren’t capable, but because AI has been framed as complex, technical, and exclusive. We’re here to change that.

This session is an introduction to the Council and our priorities: what we’re building, why it matters now, and how RWITers can get involved through education, hands-on learning, and pathways that connect AI confidence to career acceleration.
