Climate Venture Weekend
Two days. One problem. One pitch.
Climate Venture Weekend is a student-led startup weekend run by the Climate Entrepreneurs Club at Imperial College London. You’ll form a team, choose a climate challenge, build a solution and a business model around it, and pitch to a panel of judges on Sunday.
The top team gets direct entry into the Climate Pre-Accelerator, our 9-week venture-building programme that starts in January.
Who it’s for
Students from Imperial and other London universities, from any degree and any year
No idea, team or startup experience needed. You can find teammates on the day.
Teams are multidisciplinary, so engineers, scientists, business and design students are all welcome
What happens
Saturday: opening and keynote, team formation and design, business development guidance, expert office hours, then “Break the Business”. In that session experts pressure-test every team’s idea and score it for market readiness. It ends with dinner and an evening social.
Sunday: pitch prep with judges, submissions, lunch, then pitches (3 minutes plus 2 minutes of Q&A per team). Winners are announced and we close at 16:00.
What you’ll get
Feedback on your idea from experts in climate and venture
A tested business idea and a pitch you can reuse
A fast track into the Pre-Accelerator for the winning team
[Meals and refreshments through the weekend]
