LSE Generate are proud to announce a brand new partnership with BDO. The Scale-Up Leadership Series is a high-impact programme designed for later-stage founders ready to move from growth momentum to sustained scale. Tailored for LSE students and alumni building established ventures, the series combines strategic insight, practical frameworks, and peer-to-peer exchange.
The programme launches with a curated networking reception bringing together founders, BDO advisers, selected investors, and members of the LSE entrepreneurial community. Designed to spark peer learning from day one, the evening will include facilitated introductions and informal discussion around common scaling challenges.
Session four covers "Leadership at Scale - From Founder to CEO". Scaling a company requires founders to evolve their leadership style. This session focuses on transitioning from hands-on operator to strategic CEO. Topics include board dynamics, executive hiring, performance culture, succession planning, and maintaining vision during rapid growth. Designed to help founders lead high-performance organisations at scale.
Meet Your Speakers:
SAM SEEHRA- Director, People Advisory Solutions at BDO
Sam is a Director within BDO’s People Advisory Solutions practice, specialising in culture due diligence and people strategy. He brings over 17 years of experience working with organisations across the public sector, not‑for‑profit and commercial markets, including senior leadership roles at Korn Ferry. Sam works closely with leadership teams to shape cultures that support performance and long‑term value creation, with particular expertise in talent and culture integration, EDI and leadership effectiveness. He is a member of BDO’s Future Culture Board and is known for his pragmatic, collaborative approach to delivering sustainable cultural change.
MAVIS DWAAH- Director, People Advisory Solutions at BDO
Mavis leads the Leadership, People and Behaviour Change practice within BDO’s People Advisory Solutions team. An accredited cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist, she works closely with leadership teams to translate behavioural science into practical, sustainable change, supporting organisations to strengthen leadership capability, embed cultural change and deliver their people strategy. Mavis brings extensive experience working with FTSE 100, multinational and public sector organisations across professional services, energy, retail, healthcare and Government. She is known for her collaborative and pragmatic approach, helping clients design capability, culture and EVP solutions that support long‑term performance and organisational resilience.
