Linux for Everyone / Install Party
2 hour practical workshop on how to install and run Linux on almost any laptop or desktop computer you own. Come and learn how to keep your computer alive and working for longer with Free and Open Source! Part of https://endof10.org - we seek to offer free education about these tools to the public, no technical knowledge or experience necessary.
Bring your laptop and charger and go home with a with Linux installed on it and the skills to install it on any other computer in future. Do you have a desktop computer at home? Then bring a USB stick (4GB) and go home and install it yourself!
This workshop is happening every tuesday and thursday for the next few weeks, once you got Linux installed come to ask any questions about it. If you are already a supporter of Free Software you are welcome to come during the install party and share your knowledge with others, or just raise a beer to the kernel.
Presentation language is English, but all languages are welcome to join
Cost: Free, no registration needed. Please be on time.
What to bring: A personal laptop you are no longer using and its charger. Important: before coming please backup and remove all data from the laptop before the workshop, it will be completely wiped during install... or bring a USB stick if you only want the installer for installing later (min 4GB)
