Raising Capital 301 - Innovation Week Special Edition

About the event
Raising Capital 301 is the final session in Platform Calgary's Raising Capital series, following Raising Capital 101 and 201. Instead of a stage pitch, this application-only workshop gives founders a private, one-on-one pitch session with an active investor, followed by a reception with investors from Calgary's capital community.
Hour 1: 1-on-1 Investor Pitch Practice (11:20am – 12:30pm)
Thirty selected founders are paired with 10 investors across three 20-minute rotations. In your assigned slot, you'll give a 3-minute pitch to your investor. The rest of the block is structured, direct feedback on your pitch and fundraising readiness. Founders are allowed to bring your laptop or pitchdeck.
Hour 2: Founder–Investor Reception (12:30pm – 1:30pm)
After the rotations, the top 10 founders from the pitch session join our investors and additional invited investors for a networking reception. It's a chance to keep the conversation going and build relationships that can lead to your next raise.

11:20am: Check-in for investors and founders
11:30am: Welcome: purpose, format, rotation rules, and attendance policy
11:31am: Rotation 1. The first 10 founders pitch to their assigned investors, followed by feedback
11:50am: Rotation 2. The next 10 founders rotate in
12:10pm: Rotation 3. The final 10 founders rotate in
12:30pm: Closing remarks, then the Founder–Investor Reception begins
1:30pm: Event ends

Priority goes to founders who:
Are Platform Calgary members
Are actively raising pre-seed to Series A
Have a complete pitch deck
Applications close Oct 20. Spots are limited to 30 founders. We'll notify selected founders by email.
Attendance policy
Once you're accepted into the workshop, please arrive at Platform Calgary's East Annex at least 10 minutes early. Investor slots are fixed and limited, so if you miss your 1-on-1 slot, we won't be able to reschedule you.
