Claude for Commerce
A free monthly series for the people working in ecommerce and retail. Each edition takes one function of the business - operations, finance, marketing, trading, customer service - and gets into how Claude is actually being used there by people doing the job.
This is Edition 1: Operations.
You've got Claude. Most of your team is using it. The question is whether you're using it for anything that actually matters to the business.
Most teams stop at the chat window. They use Claude to draft emails, summarise documents, speed up tasks they were already doing. That is useful. It is not transformational.
The teams getting real operational value have gone further. They have connected Claude to the systems their business runs on. They have replaced manual processes with agents that work in the background. They have given their people access to information that used to live in spreadsheets, inboxes, and other people's heads.
This session is about what that looks like in practice - inside an operations function, at a real consumer brand.
What this is
Part educational, part podcast. Tim Richardson, CEO of ROIROI and host of Offcuts, and Lucy Davis, Chief Solutions Officer at ROIROI, open the session with a practical framework for where Claude sits inside a commerce business and how to think about moving beyond basic usage.
Tim is then joined by Adam Yardley, Operations Lead at Hylo Athletics, a sustainable performance footwear brand operating across the UK and US. Adam has gone further with Claude than most people in his seat. He will talk through what that journey has looked like, what has worked, what has not, and where he is taking it next.
What we'll cover
The difference between using Claude and using Claude well. Where most teams are today and what the next level looks like.
Chat vs Cowork vs Claude Code. Three different tools, three different use cases. Most people default to chat. We cover when each one is the right choice and why it matters for an operations function.
Skills. What they are, why they change what Claude can do for your business, and how Adam has applied them inside Hylo.
A live conversation with Adam about real workflows, what surprised him, and what he would do differently.
