Teardown Electronics Art - Workshop
Bring Your Broken Electronic Thing!
We will engage in the methodical destruction of electronics and together display the individual pieces through a process called knolling (to arrange objects in parallel or 90 degree angles as a method of organization). This process may be deliberate and precise, or it may be improvised and gradual, or a mix of both –– the point is to be creatively curious together!
Bring a broken electronic device: anything that needed a cord or batteries to function during its lifetime, preferably no bigger than you can manage to carry. We will provide tools to help you disassemble your device. Anything that can be taken out of your device and glued to cardboard, you can arrange as you wish on the art surface in a sea of others' electronic pieces.
The result will be a unique piece of collaborative art displayed in STPLN's exhibit 5 Tastes of Upcycling.
There will also be fika, in true Repair Café fashion!
All skill levels and ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
