AI Policy-athon
AI is at a crossroads. What can a country like Scotland, Malaysia, or Germany do about it? We are a grassroots group trying to find out!
Come to PauseAI's all-day policy-athon. Work in a coordinated research team of students (and non-students) to explore opportunities for countries to make AI safer for real people. Develop your research skills with guidance from the research coordinators, and expand your knowledge about how AI is affecting the decisions of law makers and shaping geopolitics.
No experience is required and we need diverse perspectives to help us see these problems from every angle. So no matter who you are, please come and take part!
At the end of the day we will put together a recommendation piece based on your research that will be posted online and shape Pause AI strategy in Scotland, submitted to Malaysia's National AI Office, or sent to the Berlin based non-profit AlgorithmWatch.
Why you should come:
To learn about AI and AI safety;
gain experience (that you can put on your CV);
help shape responsible AI policies
We'll provide a tasty lunch and dinner so you can focus on research.
See you there!
