CRAFTY QUEERS CLUB TURNS TWO!
Crafty Queers Club is celebrating its 2nd BIRTHDAY- and what better way with a head to head heated competition. This isn’t your grandma’s sewing circle- join the premier crafting competition of the year. On June 10th join Crafty Queers Club and LUSH for a birthday bash to remember: “So You Think You Can Craft: A Campy, crafty competition”!

For one night Crafty Queers Club will take over LUSH MPLS theater to host a one-of-a-kind competition; one that centers on yarn, popsicle sticks, and glue. Hosted by the Other Jeanie Retelle, So You Think You Can Craft will introduce different categories to win prizes. Competition is fluid and expansive; we’re here to craft, create a creative space, and have fun.
This event is geared towards Queer folks and other marginalized audiences to have some healthy crafting competition
All materials will be provided; please do not bring your own materials. The surprise material will be announced day of.
Registration is required and is first-come, first-served.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to get checked in!
Guidelines/ Rules;
We’re here to have fun, respect names and pronouns, and make art! Be a cool crafter.
Participants do not need to enter their creations into the judging pool- you can come just to make art work and socialize.
You can work solo or in teams.
There will be only one submission per team. If you are not in a team, there is one entry per participant. Multiple entries from one individual or team will not be accepted.
All judges decisions are final and they can rule in any way they would like. No heckling the judge about decisions of winners.
Registration is required and we have two tiers of tickets, free and pay what you can with a suggested $5-$20 range.
$5-$10: Lower cost option for those who need assistance
$10-$15: For those who have limited disposable income
$15-$20: Covers the cost of this event
$20+: Paying it forward to help support free tickets
