WORKSHOP: Blockchain for NGOs - Delivering Measurable Impact
The SDG funding gap runs to four trillion dollars a year. WFP's Building Blocks has moved cash for over a million refugees. UNICEF's CHATS platform cut humanitarian transfer costs by 20%. UNDP's Stellar partnership spans sixteen countries. Blockchain works for specific problems.
Other problems need other tools. Impact reporting needs corrections. Beneficiary identity needs privacy. Funds spent on the wrong tool widen the gap.
Over the past six months, Nordic Blockchain Association has worked closely with several Danish NGO’s - helping them explore where and how blockchain may add tangible, practical value to everyday processes and operations.
At NBC2026, we expand on this work with a closed-door workshop for NGOs - focused on how blockchain applies to e.g. funding transparency, digital identity, climate accountability, and cross-border coordination.
The participating NGOs will examine implementation lessons, governance safeguards, and partnership models between NGOs and technology foundations.
The workshop will be hosted and moderated by Nordic Blockchain Association.
We encourage representatives from NGOs across the Nordics to participate, regardless of their level of experience with blockchain projects and initiatives.
