βMost students from STEM or healthcare backgrounds assume their only path is academic or clinical β but thereβs a powerful alternative at the intersection of science, startups, and venture capital.
βThis session is your chance to explore that path. Meet Syed Irtaza Haider, a Venture Associate with experience in biotech and health-focused investing. Irtaza recently completed his MBA at Northwestern Kellogg, where he focused on venture capital, innovation, and commercialization of life sciences.
βIn this session, Irtaza will share how he transitioned from science to startups, used business school to break into venture capital, and what heβs learning now as an investor in biotech. Heβll also unpack the unique challenges β and advantages β international students face when entering these competitive spaces.
βWho is this for?
π Students with biotech, life sciences, or STEM backgrounds
π Aspiring MBAs curious about the VC/startup world
π International students looking to pivot into business, venture, or entrepreneurship
βThis will be a real, honest, no-fluff session β part moderated Q&A, part open conversation where you can ask Irtaza your questions directly.
