​Regarded as one of the top in his profession, Hill brings innovation, passion and advanced degrees to serve some of the best in the west. In 2024, already awarded and recognized as a top brewer, J.C. moved his family to Germany for six months to earn the Doemens Academy Master Brewer certification. No coincidence that in 2025 Alvarado Street was ranked top 5-small breweries in the US, with 6 of their beers ranking top 20 nationally in their categories and flagship Mai Tai IPA earning 6th spot in reader's Top Beer choice by Craft Beer & Brewing.
