【English】
Eight real problems. One day to make them run.
A one-day hackathon at AMD Advancing AI Japan, hosted by ai& and AMD. Eight teams, eight real problems brought by AMD’s system-integrator partners, and four and a half hours to build something that runs — then you demo it on stage that evening.
👉 How to apply: register on this Luma page, or apply via the EventHub form.
Event details
Date: Tue 1 Dec 2026, 9:30–19:30
Venue: Palace Hotel Tokyo, Marunouchi
Participants: 40 builders, 8 teams
Cost: Free, meals included
Language: Japanese / English (either is fine)
What is ai& Build Day?
Held inside AMD Advancing AI Japan. Eight captains from AMD business partners bring problems their companies are actually working on. Selected applicants join one of those teams as builders.
Build on ai& inference: Kimi, GLM, Qwen and MiniMax families served on AMD accelerators behind OpenAI-compatible endpoints. Accounts, endpoints and credits are provisioned before the event.
Why join
Frontier models on ai& inference: Try Kimi, GLM, Qwen and MiniMax side by side on a real workload, with the engineers who operate the platform beside you.
Your code on a real business problem: Your captain brings a real customer problem and judges what you build. Strong results can lead to a direct conversation about taking it further.
You’re inside Advancing AI: Keynotes, a reception with 500+ speakers and partners, and your demo on the Advancing AI stage.
Team structure
Eight teams × six people (Captain: AMD partner / Builders: you)
Apply on your own. Each team has one captain from an AMD partner plus selected builders. We assign the teams.
Who should apply
You’ll enjoy this if:
You want to connect AI to real-world problems.
You’ve called an LLM API before.
You want to compare frontier open models live.
You’re happy in a mixed-language team.
You do not need to bring a team or be a professional developer. Passion for building is enough.
How to apply
