Films for Foodies - Spotlight on Malaysia 🇲🇾

​Sunday, June 7th - Films for Foodies is back in Asia, this time to invite Malaysia to our table 🇲🇾

​While Malay cuisine may not be as popular here as Thai or Vietnamese, anyone who’s been to Southeast Asia (aka every Berliner in winter 😜) knows Malaysia is a culinary powerhouse in its own right.

​If you aren’t familiar with the cuisine, this is your chance; and if you are, then you know to bring your appetite to the Kino & Bar, where we’ll be serving up an assortment of traditional Malaysian appetizers from @seri_melayu_restaurant 🤤

Before we eat, we’ll get a taste of Malaysian culture with a screening of a 2014 film about a traditional Malaysian father who, when the couple come to visit, is forced to come to terms with his daughter’s engagement to a Westerner.

​The deadline for ordering snacks has now passed, but we might have extras on the day off 🤞🏽

​Appetizers costs €9 each, Teh Tarik €5. Payment will be collected at the cinema (Cash & PayPal ok)
