The Pattern Lab: Explore Your Hidden Motivations
The Pattern Lab
3 sessions, 1-hour each
July 21 @ 12 - 1pm EST
July 22 @ 12 - 1pm EST
July 23 @ 12 - 1pm EST
You don’t need another personality test. You need to understand your patterns. These are the hidden levers that shape how you react, what you want, and what you keep repeating (even when you don’t mean to).
We’ve developed a short, digital lab with exercises tailored to dissect three powerful, hidden sources of our patterns:
Not just our values but also their shadows
Not only our desires but also the stories we have about them
And finally, not just the habits we want but what stands in the way of creating them
And we frame it all not in terms of theory, but through analyzing your actual life.
How it works
3 sessions of 1 hour each in the same week
Individual exercises plus small group discussion
Take-home prompts for diving deeper
What we’ll cover
Day 1: July 21 @ 12pm EST — Befriending Your Shadows
We might know what we value, but do we know the trade-offs?
Every value has a shadow. The same traits that drive you forward can also hold you back—often in subtle, frustrating ways.
In this session, you’ll start to:
Identify the shadow side of your core values
Recognize where those patterns show up in your life
Understand what they might be protecting or responding to
Day 2: July 22 @ 12pm EST — Permission to Want
The stories you tell about what you want—and whether you’re allowed to have it.
It’s one thing to know what you’re drawn to. It’s another to believe you can actually have it!
In this session, we’ll build on the idea of “productive jealousy” and go deeper into:
The specific feelings behind what you find yourself wanting (and why)
The assumptions you make about people you envy
The hidden narratives shaping what feels realistic—or off-limits—for you
Day 3: July 23 @ 12pm EST — The Self-Sabotage Clinic
Why you don’t follow through (even when you want to).
Who hasn't been frustrated by knowing exactly what you need or want to do, and still not being able to do it?
We’ll look at:
The gaps that show up between intention and action
How self-judgment and avoidance reinforce each other
And how to start closing that gap without relying on willpower or pressure
What you’ll leave with
This won't give you a perfect plan or a new, branded system to follow. Instead, you'll leave with:
A clearer understanding of your own patterns
Language and definitions for things that felt vague or frustrating
A community of others asking the same questions of themselves
And a different way of relating to the parts of yourself you’ve been trying to "fix"
Who this is for
Join us in The Pattern Lab if:
You’ve done some self-reflection before, but still feel stuck in certain loops
You’re curious and value introspection, but you resist the unhealthy idea that you need to “fix yourself"
You believe that greater self-understanding—not self-punishment—is the first step toward change
If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking:
“I wonder why I always do [BLANK]?”
This is a place to start getting some answers!
