About Event

Despite unprecedented investment and momentum, artificial intelligence has yet to consistently reach the communities who could benefit from it most — women, rural populations, and low-income and low-literacy groups who are so often last in line for new technology. As AI adoption accelerates across Asia-Pacific, faster than in any other region, there is an urgent need to translate that momentum into infrastructure, trust, and collaboration that actually carry AI's benefits the last mile.

As part of Asia Impact House, Digital Green India, in partnership with MASH, is convening an invitation-only discussion on what it truly takes to make AI for good reach the people it is meant to serve.

Bringing together leaders from philanthropy, impact investing, government, ecosystem-building organisations, and grassroots implementers, the convening will explore practical approaches to trust, infrastructure, and cross-sector collaboration that can move AI for good from promising pilots to lasting impact.

Discussion Themes

  • What reaching the last mile actually takes — the trust, inclusion, and design realities of serving women, rural, low-income, and low-literacy communities.

  • Who pays for and builds the last mile, including collaboration on shared infrastructure such as data, models, and evaluation.

  • Lessons from emerging AI-for-good models scaling across Asia.

  • Barriers to scaling responsibly, and opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and co-investment.

The discussion will be informed by Digital Green's experience scaling FarmerChat, an AI-powered advisory assistant reaching millions of farmers, and will highlight actionable lessons on moving AI for good from pilot to scale.
