About Event

Do you or some you know have doubts about the negative consequences of unaligned AIs? Come to AI Safety Initiatives very first Scary Demos Night!

What are scary demos? These are technical projects that use current AI technologies to demonstrate how capable individuals may cause harm in society. These demos are used to spread awareness, alert policy makers, and serve as a baseline for what future misuse may look like if we do not actively try steer the progress of AI development towards a safer path!

We have 3 Demos provided to us by CivAI, a non-profit helping build public understanding AI capabilities and dangers.

- Demo AI powered Cyber Threats

- Demo of AI guided uplift of dangerous activities

- A new experimental unreleased demo!

After the demonstrations will hold a brain storming session; those interested in governance will write proposals for how to best leverage demos to inform policy makers, and those interested in technical work will write proposals for scary demos!
