Dublin MICROMOUSE Open 2026

​Welcome to Ireland’s first national Micromouse competition! 🐭

​Dublin Micromouse Open is supported by the UCD School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and UCD Makerspace, backed by Anthropic, and powered by Red Bull Ireland. Accio Work will also be joining us for a workshop on using AI to research and source components, build a BOM, and turn engineering ideas into startups.

​The winning team will receive $250 in Claude credits, plus free Red Bull to help everyone lock in!

​Micromouse is one of the oldest challenges in robotics: build a small robot that can solve a maze entirely on its own. No remote control, no driver and no human input once the run starts. Your mouse has to detect the walls, map the maze, find the centre, work out the fastest route and drive it.

​Most Micromouse competitions are won by machines that took months to build. Ours is not one of those.

​At Dublin Micromouse Open, every team gets six hours and the same box of parts. You design it, build it, program it and race it in a single day.

75 participants maximum. Sign-up is required to attend.
Please bring at least one 9V battery per team.
