use your personal style to create climate justice (expert Q&A w/ Sustainable Style Seattle)
Make friends who care about stuff at Soapbox Seattle, the city's most fun community space for climate action!
We're having a party for people who care about the planet. Same time, same place, every week. You're invited. Request a reparative ticket here if you need one.
What does it take to get the things we rely on every day — and who pays the price along the way?
For May’s Learn Night, we’re taking a closer look at the systems that bring products to us, and how they're deeply intertwined with both environmental impact and working conditions across the globe.
This week, we'll highlight personal style as a tool for societal change and how it interacts with human rights, climate change, and labor justice. We'll be welcoming back Timothy Parent of Sustainable Style Seattle to come chat with us!
This won’t be a one-way conversation. Bring your questions, curiosity, and perspective — we’ll make space for real dialogue about how these systems work and how they might change.

About Sustainable Style Seattle and T Parent
Sustainable Style Seattle is a network of community spaces across Seattle offering free clothing, accessories, events, and resources all summer long.
Timothy ("T") Parent researches and teaches about the power of fashion and style, from Harvard College to community events in Seattle and beyond. We got to host T in 2024 at our "Style and Sustainability in the Salish Sea" pop-up and our minds were blown.
This space is hosted by Soapbox Project, a nonprofit that creates joyful community structures to heal our climate anxiety and loneliness through expertly facilitated connection, learning, and action activities. Find your place in the climate movement with our online and in-person community!
