Amy Bessone (b. Bronx, NY 1970) is a visual artist.  After studying and working in Europe from 1989-2003, Bessone moved to Los Angeles. She currently works between Los Angeles and Western Massachusetts.

Over the past 30 years, her work has been the subject of numerous exhibitions across the US and abroad.  In 2026, Bessone received a Guggenheim Fellowship.

Bessone moves fluidly between painting and sculpture and across various media, to animate a colorful world inhabited by an iconography that is both personal and archetypal: woman, trees, masks, monsters.
